| I am so ridiculously excited I almost can't contain myself!
I'm sure you all remember, last week we had to put my daughter's best friend down on Wednesday. We were leaving for a barrel race and roping the very next day and it was so hard to not jump her pony in the trailer. It was a pretty rough weekend.
While we were at the roping my sister happened to mention to her old boss that we were looking for a pony if she knew of any we could look at when we were over there. Low and behold, my sister's old boss had one! She has been standing in pasture for two years but we caught her up and my sister stepped up on her. She rode off like she was rode yesterday. We put my daughter on and she was even better!
She is a tank of a thing, built like a little cow horse. She is about 13 hands tall and cute as a button! Now we need a name! we have came up with Stella, Cherry (because she rode so cherry for standing for two years), Freckles and Haystack. Any other suggestions?
ETA: I also want to think the BB who so graciously offered us her pony. It was such a generous offer it makes me teary eyed just thinking about it. I feel so blessed to be a part of this board!
