Psalm 63:1-2 O God, You are my God; early I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.
So I looked for You in the sanctuary , to see Your power and glory.
Of all things we can do in life, nothing outweighs the importance of time spent alone reading, meditating on and praying Gods Word.
The greatest return investment we have ever known is from our morning quiet time with our Heavenly Father.
David wrote this psalm while he was hiding from King Saul in caves near the Dead Sea, which is one of the most arid places on earth.its the last place anyone would want to hide. Yet notice David's words. He is not complaining about lack of water or even the heat. David states that his need, his thirst, is for the presence of God. That's what he ask for and that's what he got. David identified gods presence as loving kindness . He says it is better than life, in essence, more important than the water his body desperately needed.
We think we need many things today, but primarily we need Gods presence. He has promised to be with us always, so like David, lets spend time with Him daily!
For it is WITH God all things are possible
