Location: In the land of peanuts and cotton | I need a good over all supplement that is affordable. I have 6 horses. 5 of them would be on it. I already give Aloe Vera juice for ulcer preventative. I've priced Platinum and Lubricyn but both were going to be out of my price range for as much as I would have to give. My mare will get Exceed but I can't afford it for all 5. Just trying to take the best care of them as I can on a budget.

Location: North Dakota | If you're looking for a good vitamin mineral supplement with a little more added to it, look into progressive nutrition PROAD. I switched about 6 weeks ago, I was feeding flax, biotin and a vitamin mineral pellet and this takes the place of it all in one small scoop. So far so good, noticed a couple of the horses have really dry skin, but, it's been really dry here too.... |

Location: East Tennessee but who knows?! | We have 5 on stalls, 3 out on pasture so cost is important to me too. I feed Strategy, flax seed & rice bran, a little alfalfa cubes and keep a salt block out. For joints I feed Msm, then I have 2 on a cheaper joint supplement with th hyaluronate from co-op ($27). All around supplements I have fed before are Source (meal) or Accel. They're both affordable. You can feed kelp too. The flax is one of the cheapest things to feed with the most benefits for feet, hair, stamina. |

Location: NC | THE is the best value for the money I have ever found. You can customize each formula for each individual horse. I have my entire herd on special formulas of the Muscle Mass. It's the best value I have found for sure.
THE has yet to let me down and Krystal is the best distributor ever. |

| I am new to THE, but so far I love it and it is affordable. Years past I used Platinum Performance and Animal Element and my horse looked awesome, but I got to a point that I couldn't afford it. My horse looks just as good on THE as he did on PP and AE.
Edited to add that I use the Performance formula, not the Muscle Mass. It is a little cheaper I think than the MM.

Location: NE TX | Santa Cruz Ultra Cruz is VERY comparable to Platinum. They have one with and without Joint Support. It's cheaper than Platinum and is pelleted for picky eaters. I did a side by side comparison to Platinum CJ against their EW+J and their EW to Platinum EW and they were all comparable to each other but Santa Cruz was cheaper.

Yes it is a bit cheaper and just as great for horses that are plenty bulky or too easy of keepers. |

I was looking at Red Cell. I made a desperate post about it but people said it makes there horses hot. I don't need that. I have one hay already wants to put run everyone in the warm up pen. |

| You don't have to feed platinum according to its package. (A tip from my vet) I only feed 1 scoop per day unlike the 2-4 it recommendED. Sure there are exceptions to the rulE |

| did you price out the platnuim or the platnium cj because there is a HUGE price difference. i also have 6 horses the 2 i run are on oxymax and the rest are on just the regular platnuim. if you get the biggest one it should last you about 4-5 months and if you get it dropped shipped you im pretty sure the shipping is free, so i would call and see what they can do for you as far pricing. |

It was the Platinum CJ.
The cj is a lot pricier. I had great luck with the original. but like I stated before some work for some and some work for others. |
