Has anyone used either product?? Did you see any difference?

I've seen it advertised and was curious if anyone had used it at all

I have used it for minor soreness and inflammation and it worked just fine. It has been a couple of years though and I was using the liquid.

Currently using it but there is a stronger product by gateway called SubStiTute. It has like 10x the concentration of yucca and devils claw.

I was thinking it wouldn't be bad to have some on hand for long weekend shows. Mine isn't used to being stalled so he can get a little stiff over the course of the weekend. But I really don't want to Bute him up and aggravate his stomach for minor issues.

I would use if for that, but I am no expert. I used it for just that purpose, but on a ranch horse that was working hard on a weekend and was older. Worked well for that. When I finally start hauling I will definitely have it on hand. I feel like if there is something serious going on it won't mask like something stronger might.

Oh no. I wouldn't expect it to be as strong and effective as a drug. I'm looking at it from the soreness and general aches and pains viewpoint.

I have used it in the past and it helped with minor stiffness and soreness issues somewhat. Just remember do not mix it with any NSAID and the label states (or it used to) that it could still cause ulcer/digestive issues. When I gave it I used some Mylanta or Aloe Vera juice to kind of buffer.

I have used it for weekend shows when I couldn't get to the vet to get more Bute.  I really liked it and will be buying more.  I used the paste.

Oh, I knew what you meant. I have followed your replies over the years and never would I assume you would want it for that. I just meant that was why I like it, so that if it was something serious I would know it was because I don't think it is that strong.

It's a ruler-outer of the serious stuff that way I guess. It won't mask a serious issue like real Bute or Banamine would.

I get what you mean. I believe we are on the same page now. Haha.

Does anyone use it just daily for maintenance? One of mine has ongoing inflammation from kissing spine and is injected but that doesn't totally get him pain free. I'm trying to avoid surgery for a while.

I was looking at the paste since I would only really be using it for weekends.

Did you have to 'load' it in the system first or just use as needed?
