Location: In My Own Dream Land | I realize I can't please everyone, but I am going for "DIFFERENT" prizes. I'd like this jackpot to be memorable and want people to come back and see what other exciting things for the next year. |

| One of the coolest ideas I had ever seen was a jackpot with a slew of very different prizes. They had everything from a saddle to buckles to things like this, all were very high quality, then they let the winners go in order and pick out whatever they wanted. Started with 1st in 1D, 2D, 3D, 4D, then 2nd in each, etc. I thought it was a very unique idea. |

I plan on doing something similar, just will be the same "product" for each place. Like say 4 halters, all different and 1d picks first, and so on. |

Location: NC | I won a cowboy lamp once at a fundraiser funday show. love it and still use it. I like winning things I can use that I rather not spend money on. Which I am pretty cheap so I don't like to spend money on most things.... |

Location: Kansas | I like winning and giving interesting awards like that. You definitely can't please everyone, but I think it's easier to shop for home decor type of items than for horse tack. Everyone has their own preferences in tack and I think you run a bigger risk of giving them something that they can't use at all. I have ordered tv trays, picture frames, shelves, lamps and even barstools for awards. I have also given embroidered bags and throw blanketes for prizes. The blankets have always been a big hit and the last couple years I've given them for one spot in each go round of all the events. Even our bareback riders love them! |

^^^^agree!
If you must give out something for prizes give out certificates for saddles that way ppl can customize, get exactly what they want, and choose to have the fenders trophied out or not. I would rather not have anything on the fender's for better re-sale value. Its one thing when they are donated and thats all you get but don't use money to buy prizes or saddles please! Producers buy trophy saddles and pay more to get them built than I do when I resale them...I want the money from them. Money keeps ppl going up and down the road attending shows! |
