The one thing that can keep us from growing in grace is our age old preoccupation with self. All around us, people are fascinated by how they look, how we'll they are doing, how much they are accomplishing. It becomes all too easy for this focus to damage our relationship with Christ.
True growth-- growing in grace-- is all about keeping our eyes off ourselves and on Jesus. About believing with utter certainty that He alone is able to complete His work in us.
Grace shows us the ability to ride the storms of life and grow in grace along the way depends not on our ability to look like a Christian, but on our ability to rest like one, knowing we are cared for by a perfect Savior.
For it is with God all things are possible
