Location: NC | How do a bunch of guys have any amount of anger in them at a bar served by half naked women in ugg boots??? Seriously. Drink your beer and be happy. If you want to fight, take it out back and settle it hand to hand. None of this weapons and guns nonsense. They could've hurt a lot of innocent people, not to mention they had no qualms firing at police! Bunch of idiots. |

Ya know? SCREW YOU!! I go to a bar to have a beer and relax... Why should I have to go out back and fistfight your brother Buba? I'll be the first one one to pull out a weapon to defend myself. You insult me at your own risk!!!! |

This was definitely not a case of self defense. This was a case of idiots fighting over a parking space that escalated to weapons then guns. Oh and they also fired at the police officers outside.
A little different than a random insult/attack on ONE guy. It was 5 different groups. Obviously just a little different.
And if you feel perfectly alright firing at someone inside or anywhere near an establishment full of innocent people, you really shouldn't be allowed to carry. That's irresponsible and reckless. You don't put others in danger just to prove your manhood.

Especially one that would escalate so quickly. And you know something big was thought to go down if police where already at the restaurant trying to get them to refuse the bikers service.....
I find it very interesting that no civilians were injured..... |

The reason that the police were already there was that this was a "planned" meeting (peace talks) between 5 different rival biker gangs, regarding turf, etc......The fight started in the bathroom and moved to the parking lot with a fist fight which escalated quickly to knives and guns. Most of the restaurant staff and patrons were hiding in a cooler.

I would think the presence of police with AR-15s and rifles walking around the parking lot may have deterred most people from choosing that place for their afternoon meal. |

I agree, what the heck were they thinking, thank goodness that no civilians were killed are hurt in this war between these gangs. They said the parking lot looked like it was a movie set with all that was going on. |

The human race really needs to quit acting like animals. Between the a$$hat bikers and the thugs, I really think the popo should step out and let the animals eliminate themselves, then step in and do a little mop up for last man standing. |

Though I agree with you with your sentiment, humans will be humans and that animalistic behavior will continue as long as their is money, greed and power involved. This isn't your 60's Biker gang that ran rogue and were the outlaws of the time... These are now sophisticated gangs, military training and tactics, with control of Texas' "criminal enterprise" on their minds. This is why they are considered a Tier 2 threat by LEO.

Guess I still don't consider Waco a big city :O On the news this morning the owner of Twin Peaks, defending why he allowed them to meet there, said he has had "luncheons" before without any violence. I don't think I would call bikers getting together a "luncheon", lol. |

Then they need to be taken out. Simple as that. Break the law, have the desire to kill and are actively looking for a fight, then they need taken out. I think the good ol USA needs to get a little western for awhile. I just don't have any sympothy for these people. They are not good people and I doubt would lose a minutes sleep if a stray bullet killed someone's child. |

I don't think I would call bikers getting together a "luncheon", lol.
I saw the police chief on the news blaming the restaurant owner and the Twin Peaks corporate revolking their franchise. Not sure that I understand exactly what he did. Could he not let them into his restaurant? Would that have not caused more conflict? Or maybe there was more to it that I didn't catch. |

I'm a bit confused on what happen to where the franchise was pulled, I know that the police were wanting the owner to refuse the gang members service. What would have been the difference I wonder if he did turn them away, I think that they would have stayed anyway are just gone down the road to have this gang war, they were all rived up for a fight and the police knew it... |

Many of the restaurants in San Antonio won't let bikers in when they are wearing their MC vests as it stands for their gang colors.
There has been trouble brewing for sometime with a territory dispute and the restaurant was asked to work with police and they wouldn't. The police then went to the Corporate office and the Corporate office asked the management to work with police and they once again said no. It was a no brainer there was going to be trouble and that is why the police were on site and got it under control before it really got nuts. The body count would have been a lot higher and it might have included innocent people. All of it could have been prevented if Twin Peaks had done their part. |

The way I understand this is that the police knew it was going to go down and they were ready and I think they were there befor the bikers, and like you said armed to the gills. |

I just wonder how the owner if he could, just turn the bikers away, I would think that the bikers would have stayed anyway, this is one guy against more then 200 bikers. |

I've never been in a Twin Peaks store, tho we have one right across the street. If the store didn't follow franchise guidelines I can understand why it got pulled. The store here hires off duty cops to sit in there as does Hooters. The Twin Peaks here has a large parking area in front designated just for bikes, so they cater to the bikers.. While I understand one gang had rented the place for an outside event that does not forbid other people from coming there to do business.. |

LEO were on the scene, SWAT was there and LEO couldn't stop the bikers from going into the restaurant... I'm confused why the restaurant owner was at fault. And if LEO thought this was going to be a showdown, why weren't a dozen or 2 dozen officers IN the restaurant before the bikers showed up? What the heck am I missing? |

"They had rented out or asked for the outdoor bar area specifically for a meeting that they were having of a group of invited biker gangs."
So the owners allowed the meeting to take place when It is known there was a turf war going on.. |

There is a big Harley Davidson dealer across the street and I'm sure they did cater to the 99% of law abiding motorcyclists. The Harley Davidson dealer is closed right now because of this and they aren't for sure when they will re-open their doors. |

They made reservations to reserve the patio outside for their meeting. It wasn't like they were just wandering. The restaurant could have refused to reserve the patio |

The restaurant would not allow uniformed officers in the restaurant |

| It was not a group of bikers, or even just "several" gangs.
This was a Confederation of Clubs meeting, there is/was beef between Bandidos and Cossacks,
the other clubs that were there, were bi tc h gangs from the two main clubs.
Mr. Patel, managing partner of this franchise, was approached by LE in an effort to thwart this situation and he told them he had it under control and to go pi ss up a rope. (not so many words but you get the point)
The Cossacks are no longer member of the CoC but had agreed to attend in order to cool down the tensions between clubs.
