Those of you with Merrill's, have you ever replaced the tree? The tree is broke in my saddle and I want to get it replaced instead of going out to buy a new saddle. My question is those of you who have ever replaced the trees did you send it back to them or did you have your local saddle maker replace the tree?

You have to send it back.

I had Allen Ranch break mine down and see if they could repair it since he builds a flex tree of his own.  He said there was nothing he could do with it.  He sent it to the guy that does the Merrill trees for me.  It costs $300 or so I think.

How old is your saddle? When I sent mine back to them the changed my tree under warranty. I believe it is $300 normally.
