And more rain on the way. I wonder if any BB's lives in the flooded areas of Hays County? |

Location: Texas | Prayers for all of the kids attending the Texas Jr. High State Finals at Gonzales, TX. They have had so much rain and the facility is located close to the river. My granddaughter is letting a friend ride her pole horse and they left this morning. I know they got there to check in, but they had to move one of the stall tents to higher ground last week meaning that those horses are going to standing on hard ground. Not an ideal situation. Arena is covered, but I hope there is enough high ground for everyone. It was a mess last year also so I am hoping that they learned somethings that will make year go smoother. It is not like they haven't known it was coming. |

That was in Bandera by where I live. The water has receded and they can now get out. The Trailriders are moving to the Bandera Racetrack where it is high. |

The arena is pretty far from the river, I know when it rains hard there at the arena the water pools guite a bit in areas, pretty flat there. They have had so much rain there in the last few weeks I'm suprise that they still went on with the Rodeo.. |

| This is all over Texas. Dallas/Ft Worth area is flodded. Many roads including interstates are closed. Witchta Falls has had mandatory evacuations. Cattle and other livestock are being moved out of the Red River bottom near Texarkana. Many are being herded out in boats. Tornados today in Kilgore and Marshall. I am tired of this rain but I have it good compared to many. We have to go to school tomorrow and I am not sure I can even get there. (In Marshall)
Prayers for all who are having to deal with these tragedies.

| Someone posted on Facebook asking for prayers for a young family missing in the Wimberly area. The father was found and is in ICU. The mother and two small children have not been found. The person asked everyone to start a prayer chain. If you would please join in, I am sure it would be appreciated. Their last name is McComb. |

The walkway and sides of the river are concrete. San Antonio has a floodgate system built in am ng that area to keep the water from getting into the businesses. They planned well. |

Location: East of the Pecos | Prayers for all those in the flood's path. Please heed the early flood warnings and prepare. If it's risky, just don't go. Have an evacuation plan in place, flood waters rise very quickly. Here's a good article on how to prepare. It basically says move your truck and trailer to high ground during serious rain storms, keep halters in your truck, put ID's on your horses, load your trailer with water and feed ahead of time and be ready to load and go at a moments notice. It's better to be safe than sorry, so error on the side of caution and leave early enough to get to a safer place and wait it out. If your gut tells you something isn't right, pay attention and leave the area. I think the key point here is don't wait until the last minute. Nothing is worth the risk of losing your life or that of your animals. https://voices4horses.wordpress.com/tag/floods-in-texas/ |

Location: Texas!! | I'm going to make the drive to San Marcos tomorrow to try and find my camper... My son has been living there in a RV Park, for the last three years going to college. The park owners said all the trailers there are pretty much destroyed, but we are hoping we can at least get his clothes! They are looking for it by its lic plate number. He was home this weekend, (thank God!) but summer school starts Monday. |

| Many prayers for all involved. Don't like the flooding, but I am so grateful for this wonderful rain. Our land has been so dry for so long. We live in West Texas and it's actually starting to green up. We haven't seen the green in many many years. I seriously doubt I will ever hear of the majority of the lakes in Texas to be at capacity or close too, again in my lifetime. I can't imagine how fast the water is rising in some areas. |

Actually, I saw a graphic on the TV today that showed that all of the major lakes except 1 were full. The 1 below capacity was only 1 ft. low. Freaking awesome. |

| Prayers for all, some areas look like a war zone. There are mandatory evacuations near me for those living near the Brazos and Colorado River, they are expecting it to crest and flood by tomorrow. The fair grounds have been opened up to house livestock and the churches are taking evacuees. My daughter and I are headed to the churches to take water and supplies. It is mainly the poorest of our community, who are without many resources, who are in the flood zones. |

Location: Montgomery TX | It's been crazy down here. I have a friend who wakes up to a flooded house every morning for the past week, water recedes during the day, it rains over night and more water in the house the next morning. The roads are flooded during morning commutes and it recedes during the day, rains in the afternoon or overnight and it starts over the next day. On a more positive note - all of my friends and family are safe and accounted for, although water logged. We've caught over 200 catfish in the fishing hole due to flooded creek on our property and it looks like it is going to clear out next week. Looking forward to eating all them cats....
Many prayers are being said for all effected by the storms> Y'all be safe!! |

You know I have not heard anything about livestock are horses, I'm thinking most of the place's did not have any. I have been asking since I'm pretty close to all this. Now I think the farter down river you go like into the ranch and farm lands you will get into the livestock but I think in the Hays county area were more like the city type people that has only small lots that they were living on.
