I have an older mare that doesn't like IM injections. But she doesn't seem to do bad for coggins or when a vet has to sedate her for a procedure.... Which got me wondering if there is an IV injectable joint supplement?

FLITASTIC - 2015-05-27 12:05 PM You can give Pentosan IV as well. Atleast thats what it says on the bottle.
Really? I saw the other threads on Pentosan and it sounded really good but figured it was like adaquan and ICHON and needed to be IM.
According to my bottle of pentosan from horse pre race, yes it can be given IV, but I never have used it IV. Actually it says IM or IA ( Intra articular). But their Platinum formula does say IV and it contains Pentosan.
Dr Marcotte (from Vinita OK) tells us to give 5-6 cc IV of Pentosan.
