Location: Oklahoma | I'm doing a summer barrel series, and wanted to do a couple out of the box awards. Already doing sudden death buckles. And cash award for hi-point. This would be for 2nd or 3rd place in the finals, and I also want to do a "Fastest Time" of the series award. Maybe even most consistant. $100 or less each. Would love to hear ideas. |

I have also been to a race that gave an award to the last person in each D. I forget what they called it.... "Too Fast for the Cash" I think maybe.... But I really liked that, because the last spot in each D always feels super sucky. |

Haha that's a great idea! How funny!
What types of prizes do you like? Like I said, already doing some buckles, and I have 4 mule tape halters donated. But looking at other cool stuff, like trophy cowhide notebooks/planners, photo albums, duffle bags, Trophy buckle keychains (LOVE these). Different stuff |

I love getting bags of any kind. You can never have too many bags. The handiest thing I've ever won was a rolling bale bag. It had the trophy info embroidered on the top.

| I have some sheets I won over 20 years ago. I think they would be a bargain at this time of year as well. Nice rain coats or rain saddle covers for all the Texas and Okla people-haha.
Bell boots never go out of style. Headstalls.
Out of the box? I cant think of cool ideas but I will keep thinking. |

Location: When you hit the middle of nowhere .. Keep driving | Anything you will use and not collect dust is my favorite lol. Halters, polos, bridles, etc. I do like cash or a gift certificate as well because then I can splurge on something I wouldn't normally buy or use it for things I need. I am following this since I am holding a clinic this year and want to do a fun door prize for the people who attend. Something a little extra! |

Uuummmm jackets, haybags, buckets, halters, bellboots you can have leather patches with show name sewn to the top Velcro piece.... Pht and back on track things are always a hit, saddle pads with trophy wear leathers. Bracelets or cuffs, I've seen neat hair ties with conchos maybe a custom concho with the show name? |

Location: Idahome | Everyone has had great ideas. Last year, I won a new boot bag for my horse boots. I loved it since my other one had a giant hole and didn't really hold boots that well. It has mesh on the front to breath and doesn't get everything stinky. Blankets, boots, pads are all good ideas that never get old. |

Location: sunny california | instead of a saddle I would like a hay steamer. I like gifts and awards to be of things I want/like but am not willing to shell out the cash for it. my wish list has magnetic therapy, back on track, game ready,
I like the headstalls and breastcollars and such but I already have those things and they are not on my list of things I need/want.
on the other hand some things that tend to wear out and need replacing are nice too. halters and such. I don't usually want sheets and they never fit my horse |

I am actually giving $500 cash to the overall hi-point, no complaints there! Lol
On the other stuff, only looking at around $100 or less....

| I love the idea of the target time/slowest time average winner!
Some of the coolest awards that I have seen was a gift certificate for a pair of Justin boots, Professional's Choice gift certificates, travel and makeup bags from Custom Tack and Running Roan with the association's name on them, and trophy keychains and bracelets. |

Basically the Target Time would be the most consistent.... at least I think that's what people usually do. I think that is what I will do- would have to run at each race of the series (5) and have no down barrels.
Have you seen the wooden boxes with cowhide on them? They can be personalized. They are pretty cool!
What about a cowhide leather binder? Like for horse papers, etc? Or rodeo calendar stuff? Maybe thinking about this for the Fastest Time award |
