| Just read in barrel racing report that kaley was not invited back? Didn't she win it last year? How is it determined who gets invited? Just being nosy! |

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | I asked the same question yesterday, and apparently no one really understands what happened. There was a change in ground rules by the WPRA president, and this was the result? Seems stupid to me that last year's winner wasn't invited back. If they don't explain how this happened, the rumor train is going to take off for places they don't like. |

| I don't know for sure but I thought they took the top so many from 2014, and the top so many of 2015, and the top so many of the Canadian standings 2014
World champ
Canadian champ
As far as I know the previous bonus go round winner has never been invited back |

Location: Where it isn’t cold! | The qualifications for Calgary are listed under ground rules for that rodeo on the WPRA website schedule. According to that, the 2014 champion is invited back. |

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | Karlaw - 2015-06-04 9:28 AM I have "heard" she declined the invite for personal reasons :)
According to the recent Barrel racing Report article, " However, unlike last year, when a Calgary Stampede Championship bumped them to the top of the heap, Bass wasn’t invited this year. She’ll have to stay stateside to earn her summer fortunes." |

| Just seems strange. I would think Calgary would want last years winner there. |

| Honestly Calgary can do what they want! Always have. Doesn't seem like there has ever been any rime or reason for anything they decide there!! |

Bingo! Like the year that only ONE CANADIAN barrel racer was invited... to a Canadian rodeo...
Sorry... still a little raw... being canadian and all. |

Do they not follow what is posted on the WPRA website? Seems like the "invitations" are earned by placing in the top of the staindings.Ladies Barrel Racing: 2014 Calgary Stampede Champion Top six (6) from the 2014 WPRA pro rodeo final standings (drop down until filled) Top four (4) from the 2014 CPRA Final standings (drop down until filled) Top four (4) from the 2014 WPRA Tour Final standings (drop down until filled) Top four (4) from the 2015 WPRA Qualifications standings as of April 1 (drop down until filled) 2015 RNCFR Champion (drop down to four positions, (Finals Only) then go to the 2015 WPRA Qualifications standings as of April 1.) |

| If they do follow that which they should,
Can someone lay out who is who and how where they qualified exactly? I don't know all the girls on the lists or where they come from

| You could probably pull up the standings from last year to find that info. Alexa Lake is a 21, been running Viper for 3 years, was in 4th place in WPRA April 1st, currently in 6th. |

ETA
The qualifiers and status are posted on http://www.calgarystampede.com/stampede/rodeo/ladies-barrel-racing
But... doesn't say how they qualified exactly.

| Yes that is what I am wondering is how they all qualified.
I think they should have to put how they got there.
It confuses me ever year! |

Yea, Houston had a link that is you clicked on the contestants name it told you how they got there, very helpful. They also announced how they qualified when they ran. |

Plus, she ended up 3rd in the world last year, so actually had qualified in two spots.

| I looked up the qualifications they add up. The only one that doesn't is Kaley Bass and I guess only she can answer that question. Just like they say in qualification rules you roll down. I was curious and went through the list and every girl on their site has legitimately qualified according to the specifications set out by the WPRA. |

And they rolled down in Canada too because Brittany qualified via WPRA. That's How Tara go in. |

Yes. Heard this before Houston while on the winter rodeo trail. I guess we will know soon enough if it's true or not! |

| If you enter Calgary and then turn out you cannot come back the following year to compete...So I would assume she didn't enter in case she was unable to run and had to turn out. |
