Every one of us has a certain amount of days, hours, minutes, seconds of breathes, before we leave this playground called Earth. Each and every day we use up very precious and valuable moments. That reality is exactly what Moses had in mind as he thought about the death sentence on the Isrealites. Moses brought to light two major problems that ate still problems for us today.
First is the problem of sin. he wrote " You have set out iniquities before You, our secret sins in light of Your countenance " Even though life is short , sin is in no short supply. Moses reminds us ther is. O secret sin. Whatever you feel you are hiding is already exposed to Od. And in this world that excuses and abuses sin, Gid only judges sin. The words Moses used in regard to sin are "anger" and "wrath"
Second, moves knew that thir days were numbered and that they would perish in the desert. Their disobedience brought them judgement of God.
How did Moses respond? HE PRAYED! What did he ask for? MERCY, JOY, WORK, and God's PRESENCE.
LIFE IS FLEETING!! But what makes for a good life is the mercy and forgiveness of God found in Jesus Christ. Find joy in the fact God has a plan and purpose for your life in the work He has called for you to do, and experience God's presence as ou spend time with Him each day.
For it is with God All things are possible
