Okay... So I am SO excited! My new custom ProRider came in yesterday. We had my mare fitted for it but we decided that it fits her better with a 3/4" 5 Star pad than a 7/8" (pictured). I am selling the one pictured to buy a 3/4" and I'm trying to decide if I want to get another 30"x30" (like the one pictured) or if I'd rather get a 28" long one. I just don't like all of the bulk in the front... I could slide the pad back a little bit but I think it'd still look bulky... So... Opinions? My saddle doesn't slide around at all so I'm not too concerned that it'll slip around... TIA

This looks good to me, maybe slide the pad back 1/2 to an inch back. Hummm looking at your set up now, if you did slide the pad back would it hit your horses hip?
Measure the skirt on your saddle so that way you can get an ideal of how a 28" would look. My horses are short backed so I always go with a 28" but I do have a few 30" inch pads because a couple of saddles I do have have a bit longer skirt.

2/3 of my riding horses are SUPER short in the back... I could slide the pad back about a 1/2 inch but that's IT. I can't even use the 30" pad on my other mare because it rubs all over the tops of her hips lol, poor thing. That's why I'd like to get a 28" if I can get away with it...

If a 28" fits under your saddle and if you have at least an inch sticking out on both ends then I would go with a 28" since your horses are a bit shorter backed. But I do like at least an inch sticking out. That way I feel they have the support they need from their pads.
