| Please keep the people along the Red River from N Tx through central LA. In your prayers. All people, as well as livestock, are safe but many homes have ankle deep to chest deep water in them as well as their barns. Many of those affected are barrel racers and ropers and will not be able to get back to their homes for weeks. |

Location: NE Texas | Gosh, my friend and I were just talking about this at lunch, as she said the bridges just north of Paris, TX were closed over the Red River. Thoughts and prayers to everyone who is affected by this flooding. I'm about an hour and a half south of there and could offer some refuge for a few horses if needed. |

In north TX just about all of the roads are closed but a lot of people live through that area and are under water. North of Shreveport I have a friend who has had to move about 700 cows. I don't know exactly where you put that many but all are moved. The house is safe. Shreveport-Bossier is a mess with many flooded homes. All they are showing are the huge homes that are flooded butt there are bunch of normal folks'whose houses are flooded too. I live in TX about 50 miles west of Shreveport. Several of us went to eat Sat night and you can't believe how high that river is. |

I'm in North Texas, but nowhere near a river, so we haven't been affected. I didn't realize there were still huge flooding problems going on until my friend told me about trying to cross the Red River from OK to Texas last weekend. Very scary stuff. |
