I subscribe to THE HORSE. It is more of a technical publication. Personally I think every horse own should read it. It has articles on feeds, supplements, breeding issues, teeth maintenance, and various soundness issues. Easy to read. Not very expensive.

If you like to keep up with who is winning what and where, BARREL HORSE NEWS which also has some interesting training ideas, the newest trends in sports boots etc.

I subscribe to dressage today, practical horseman and horse and rider. Each for different reasons. My favorite is dressage today.

I agree with streaky about THE HORSE....I feel like everyone who owns horses should subscribe. I like Equus too, Barrel Horse World, Chronicles of the Horse, and Practical Horseman. I subscribe to Dressage Today too but its pretty in depth about dressage and I don't enjoy it that much.

I've gotten lots of magazines over the years, right now I don't get any.

But I've gotten:
Barrel Horse News
Horse & Rider
Dressage Today
Practical Horsemen
Blood-Horse

I liked all of them!

I have had horses for see for 55+ years. You never stop learning and THE HORSE is so informative and written in easily understood language. I love that magazine. It has articles for every part of horse ownership.
