So I've ventured into the world of Iphone after being a droid user for many years. I liked having the blinking led light to let me know when I had notificaitons. Does the iphone have anything like that? Also I hate how when my screen is locked and I get a notificaiton it pops right up on my locked screen so anyone could see it. Is there a way for it not to do that, but still wake the screen or somethig so there is an indicaiton I have a notificaiton? I have the iphone 6, 14 days to decide if I like it. Thanks for your help!

All instructions for iphones are online-just google. Yes you can set ur notifications to what you want. Start at settings go to notifications, and pick and choose what you want to show up on your screen and what you do not want.

As far as I know theres no LED light, but there is a way to change what shows up on the lock screen. I have the iPhone 5C so I'm not sure how different it is, but this is how I change it on my phone.
Go to SETTINGS, then to NOTIFICATIONS, then select where it says MESSAGES, and make sure "Show Preview" is off. In this same setting I also have "Repeat alerts" set to Never. If you have repeat alerts on it means your phone is going to keep going off (however many times you select) until you reply to a message.
Another thing you might want to do (this is personal preference) is go to SETTINGS, then to MESSAGES, and turn off where it says "Send Read Receipts". This means people will no longer be able to tell when you've read their messages. I have it turned off because I tend to read peoples messages and not reply right away and I don't want anyone hounding me and being like "ugh I know you read it, why haven't you replied, text me back!!!!"
There is an LED flash you can set. Unfortunately it only will flash at the moment your phone rings or you get a text. It does not have a continuous light. =[
