Location: 31 lengths farms | I found one on their website that I liked and but I wanted a brow band and wanted to incorporate some arrows into it also as I've always said CC is a Warrior. Kayla at Rockstar added the "Shes A Warrior" on the throatlatch as a surprise for us. I've never had anything made before but I'd say she nailed this for CC! Even the little details like the ties at the bottom being turquoise, the orange top stitching on the headstall itself and lining the headstall in blue. Love everything about it.

Their new stuff has really progressed! And I thought very reasonable. Mine was $185. The feathers and arrows are carved as well as painted and I love the texture she put on behind those also.

Location: 31 lengths farms | I had the throatlatch tightened to much but was trying to get it where the lettering on it would show up in the photo....The lady from Rockstar was like "OMG, is it too small? I'll make her a new one!!!" LOL!!! Nope plenty of room, just being stupid trying to get a picture of the throat latch...
Again, I highly recommend them, very easy to work with, she kept me informed as to where CC's headstall was in the list. It was a little wait but I feel very worth it and the quality is beautiful. I will eventually have a breast collar made also but really didnt' want it too matchy matchy so will go with the same type "theme" and like colors but not exactly the same. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | Okay, so after my mom passed away I was gong thru a little basket of sketches she had done and kept to herself because she was frustrated that she couldn't draw like she used to and I found a sketch of a feather. I would like to design a breast collar to go with this headstall that isn't too matchy matchy if you know what I mean using the sketch of the feather but am having trouble with ideas for it. The girl that did the headstall agreed to using the sketch of the feather for it, just drawing a blank. Do any of you have some ideas for it? |

Location: 31 lengths farms | I'm kind of kicking around the idea of an image of a tepee on it somehow. My sister showed up with a shirt that says "I love my Tribe" with a tepee on it and we decided to get matching shirts seeing as we are all "momma's tribe" and incorporating it with the feather sketch mom had in the same color scheme that the headstall was done in. Playing with the design now. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | I was leery of the painted tack thing too, but after going thru the ordeal with CC over the kidney stones and bladder stone removal I had started calling her my Warrior and I got this idea for the headstall that Kayla carried out for what I had in mind to perfection.
And yes, lots of compliments on this, the quality of the leather and the tooling under the paint job is amazing as are the details she added to the throat latch. |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | Now THIS is custom leather work. Great craftsmanship. Great price and it's even carved, lined and machine stitched and painted. You got that sucker for a STEAL at $185. Very impressed by the work and attention to detail. The fact that the maker was concerned about the fit and offered to make a better fitting headstall shows you how much she enjoys her jobs and values her customers and clients. For sure putting them on my list.

How about dream catchers with feathers on the breast collar?Dreamcatchers a symbol of unity with your momma:) |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | Shame on them! I bet if enough people called them out on it they would remove it from production. ETA: I went to their website and it's on the front page. Can't find it anywhere to buy and you can't click on the photo. Maybe they took it out of production already? I noticed they first posted it for sale in February of last year...I'm a little late to the party...

Oh trust me I know this. They copy everyone on everything and mark up their own items. I can get a cheap headstall from a feed store for half the price they sell a similar or exact design for. LOL I don't know why Bar H is still in business honestly... It's cheap tack. |

Location: California | I remember seeing this thread before... Such a shame! I did a google of Bar H Tack-this is the first thing that popped up:
http://www.ridingwarehouse.com/Bar_H_Hand_Painted_Arrows__Feathers_Browband_Headstall/descpage-BHHPABH.html?gclid=CID9_bSVn9ICFQKUfgod3BYHfA
There was a tack set that I gave the lady all the ideas of what I wanted... She took my idea & turned it into amazing artwork, aaaaand then turned around and sold lots of the same set, with subtle differences. Thanks lady, the whole reason I paid $500 for CUSTOM was so NO ONE else had it! So now I make my own stuff. lol |

Location: 31 lengths farms | Kayla with Rockstar Custom Leather was very up front, she will do a design similar but not an exact copy, color ect. of a piece she has done for someone else. Then there are the little details, like the added little surprise she put on the throatlatch for me, the cheek pieces being lined in a complimentary color leather and the ties for no additional charge. Bar H and others may copy, but not those little details and to tell you the truth, the prices they were charging for their copy is not much less than I paid for my original. Money well spent in my opinion for a headstall I waited 40+ years to have made for a special little horse. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | The fetlock is still slightly swollen, I've been putting her Cu HOrse wraps on and that helps take it down quite a bit. We've been flooded out the last week or so, today I got to put them back out and I'm sure the fetlock will be swollen again tonight as she was tearing around with her tail in the air acting like an Arab this morning. Sound at the walk and trot but doesn't want to catch that lead in the back in small circles. Tried putting her in when it happened and she refused to eat and just spun circles so she is back out and praying for her being "well behaved"...but she is an epic failure at being an invalid. |

That's the warrior coming out in her!!! (Hopefully she'll calm down enough to get herself healed up properly.) |
