My horse was just diagnosed with a fractured pastern in right front.  Anyone have this happen and what did you do for it for best results..............and did your horse make a full recovery and back to running barrels?

I had a mare that had multiple microfractures and bone edema in the lowest part of the pastern (p2).  Did 6 - 8 months of stall rest, and yes, she did come back.

Was it complete stall rest for the entire time?

They would allow me to hand walk her, but she was too rank, so I left her in the stall.  Did a secong MRI to be sure everything looked good before putting her back to work, and the started off REALLY slow in doing so.  And didnt' turn her out all at once.  Started with a little turnout and moved her back up to the bigger turnout gradually.
