| Carmen Smith who is about 7 years old, fell off a 4 Wheeler at the barrel race at Jackson MS. She is in very serious condition and is not doing well. She has serious head injuries. I don't know this child or the family but this has been seen on facebook. Please take a little time to say a prayer for her and her family. There is a gofundme account set up to help with expenses. |

She had been... at the barrel racing since Wednesday and had several good runs and was having a great time with her friends. Friday night after going to the barn to feed and water her horses she was riding with friends going back to her horse trailer to her Mother Gina. They were about 150 feet from the trailer when some kids threw water balloons at them and Carmen turned to tell them ha ha you missed when she slipped off the seat and tumbled several times on the asphalt. She has been at Batson children's hospital ever since. They have tried valiantly to save her life and are still trying. They even did surgery on her and removed the right side of her skull to relieve the pressure and for a several hours this worked but now the pressure is going back up. We need prayer more than anything but insurance does not cover all this. If Carmen lives she will have brain damage the last CT scan showed that the right side of the brain is already dying. She will have to be in ICU for months and have extensive care and therapy.

Location: Ohio | Many prayers for this family. Reading this puts a pit in my stomach. My son fell down a flight of steps last year and suffered a Tramatic Brain Injury. He to had to have the left side of his skull removed to relieve the swelling. He has made a full recovery and to those who have never met him, you would never know this happened. He my miracle. I pray this family receives the same blessing we did.

Keep the prayers coming - Carmen had another good night her pressure has finally gotten under 20 (they would like it under 15-but we will take 20 ) they already say she is a miracle - Marty and I will never be able to thank everyone enough - we are trying to pay it forward and ask that along with Carmen you pray for the other children and families in ICU - the team of doctors and nurses are unbelievable - and God is steadily giving the knowledge they need to care for my baby - your prayers are keeping my baby girl alive and for that I will be forever be grateful - remember to be kind to others , help a stranger and have a Godly attitude in everything you do. |

This is soooo horrible! I cannot imagine what the family is going thru. Lots of prayers that this sweet baby will pull thru all of this. May God wrap his arms around the family & give them comfort & peace knowing His Almighty is at work. God performs miracles everyday & I know this will be another one. Update: her numbers have held steady only a few spikes - unfortunately her lungs are struggling a little (this is expected but still hard to handle) there has been a little change in pupils and this is concerning - please continue to pray for good pressure in her brain, for her lungs to improve and her pupils to relax - again I remind you to share her prayers with her friends and neighbors in ICU - we have met some amazing people and some really strong parents and grandparents - be kind to others, help a stranger, have a Godly attitude and please continue to ?#?prayforcarmen?

Very little change last night - she is resting peacefully and we are spending every moment we can with her - your prayers are definitely felt - my faith is being tested but when I look at her beautiful face God gives me strength - this little angel still has a lot work to do and we will be here with her every step of the way - there are so many families here and at home and all over that need prayers - I ask again that you pray for them - God is good and he is always good - Carmen believes in having a Godly attitude and I ask all that follow her and like her page to please remember this through out your day - in a world of so much ugliness we can all learn from her simple phrase - she has and continues to teach me so much about the plans God has - be kind, help a stranger and have a Godly attitude ?#?prayforcarmen?
