My local dealer has a heck of a deal on this model. 9,000 Brand new car. It has AC but no power anything and a manual trans. But gets close to 40MPG. Was thinking of getting a little around town commuter car. Nissan has a really good reputation for quality but I was just wondering what you all thought, Thanks!

My sister's fiancé has one.. he likes it.. nothing super exciting as far as gadgets and knick knacks, but a good running car that gets great gas mileage. Hes had it for almost a year now, and no problems. He was rear-ended about a month ago or so, and only damage is to the bumper cover.. No other body or internal damage.

They're like a tin can but if that's all you're using it for then you're probably fine. The older Versa's seemed a little better made. (Been working with new cars since 2012 all makes and models.)

I have a 2012 Nissan Versa and  it's nothing I brag about but I have been impressed with how comfortable it is compared to a lot more expensive cars....and for a little 4 cylinder, it's got plenty of get up and go...I call it "Zippy".  I didn't have high expectations because I was just looking for a quick and relatively inexpensive deal, so didn't do my homework, but I lucked out I think.
