My husband and I just bought a house with stall barn, arena, pasture, etc in Oklahoma and are trying to get it insured. The company we thought we were going to use told us today they wouldn't be able to insure it as it is also used as a horse business. Who do you use that covers your place plus your horse business? They said they are afraid someone might get hurt on our place if someone where to ride in our arena...

What state are you in? Most states have passed legislation on suing for horse-related injuries.
This is Virginias -- but almost every state has the same basic laws.
Research this for your state. Post the sign/s. Present it to your insurance company. Our home policy covers my horse business, plus we carry a large umbrella policy for the just-in-case scenarios.

You need a commercial farm and ranch policy that covers equine liability. Most insurance companies don't do equine. Any one of the major horse insurance companies should do F&R as well. Sonora out of Boerne, TX is very good!
