| Once again I have a poison ivy rach. All Dr's around here are closed for the 4th so I need some home remedies that really work. I am using Ivarest right now but that does not seen to be helping much. Any advice will be much appreciated.
BTW I have it on my eye lids, face, legs, arms and stomach. I was weed eating in shorts I knew better just had a mental momentent. |

Location: The barn...where else? SW Missouri | You might try Zanfel Ivy Wash. You can get it at Wal-Mart. It seemed to work for me when I didn't have a really bad case of it. Good luck. I feel for you cause I'm really allergic and it's miserable. |

Location: SE Louisiana | Take some plantain leaves, mash them to a pulp and rub the juices on it. You can find it growing in almost any driveway.

| Zanfel cream! It is pricey, but works. Follow the instructions exactly. Use it multiple times. The cortisone creams and other topical stuff never worked for me. Mine continued to spread and get more infected. With each Zanfel application, it would get half its size shortly after. You may need more than one tube depending on the size of the rash. The pharmacist recommended it as well. A good antihistamine would be helpful and maybe an over the counter anti-inflammatory tablet I don't know. Ask a pharmacist.If needed, don't hesitate to see the dr or go to an urgent care for a shot or meds.

Location: Dubach, LA | A fifth of whiskey. Taken internally. Might not hurt if a little spashes onto the rash. That is miserable stuff. The cocounut oil mixed with tea tree and a little rosemary is pretty good.

Location: Kansas | I have had temporary success with DRAW. Get into the Dr first thing tomorrow for some steroid cream. The washes feel really good for the itching and are worth the money but your best bet is the prescription cream. I can just look at it and get it! |

| Thanks for all the advice I have tried the Benadryl and it did help a little. I also took two Benadryl last night and slep about 4 hours that was awesome. I am going to give my self a shot of dex soon and tru the tea tree oil. I did just put some Lavender oil on some places and it feel really good so I think I am going to continue with that. Again thanks to everyone for the advice

Location: MD | Benadryl, melatonin I had some luck with the cortisone cream. But I caught it right when I touched it so I isolated it really quickly. Do you have ice packs? Hopefully you can focus more on it being cold then the intense itch. Wash those sheets and pillow cases!!!
