Location: Montana | My cousin was diagnosed with ovarian cancer yesterday. I'm not sure what stage but it's pretty bad every lymph node in her body lit up on the scans. And were so swollen that they looked like a mass on her aorta. And they almost shut down a kidney by blocking it off. She has three kids and the youngest is almost a year old. They had moved in with her mom when they sold their house and were trying to buy a place but it needed extensive remodel and luckily they hadn't signed on it yet. My cousin is one of those super healthy people always juicing and eating right. And yet she has had thyroid issues, skin cancer and had to have her spleen removed as a teenager do to getting bulldozed by a runner when playing softball.
They are starting her off with a double dose of chemo today, just to see if they can get the lymph nodes shrunk enough they can get her off the morphin drip and see what they need to do surgery wise. I'm scared out of my mind for her kids and husband. Her and her husband have been together since high school and he is over the moon for her still. I know before they found this out he was drinking pretty heavy from stress from work (he is foreman for an electrical company and has/had twenty different job sites he was overseeing) and trying to buy a new house. I know that he probably has stopped since thy don't have alcohol at the hospital. But I still worry if anything happened to her what would happen with him and the kids.
Can you please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you |

Location: Montana | Thank you all, we have not quite had a very good year so far. Our Grandmother had a stroke/aneurism on Jan. 2 we didn't think she would pull out of it. That Sunday she was in a catatonic state the following day we went in to talk about end of life care and she had come around and was remember people. She was better for a while but in the last few weeks the dementia has really taken ahold of her. My fathers diabetes went out of control and he was almost forced into retirement from driving truck even though he was doing everything he could.he also has the X factor clotting gene had to have two clots removed. He's finally come back under control. My mother thought she had pulled a groin muscle when she tripped and fell getting out of the car in the garage almost two years ago this happened and instead of going to the dr when it didn't go away after time. She was diagnosed having a bone spur at L12/L13 pinching the nerves that run down into that area and it looks like she is going to have to have surgery. |

Location: Montana | Thank you all for your continued prayers. As of right now my cousin is in hospice and not expected to make it through the day. This cancer is a very rare aggressive form of ovarian cancer. And since they removed the original tumor and left ovary. She has gotten more tumors within the last week. They removed 9lbs of fluid from her stomach on Friday and removed more yesterday before they moved her to hospice. My heart is breaking for my aunt and my cousins beautiful children and her husband. |

Location: Montana | Thank you all again. Today her husband took the girls up to have a birthday party so she can have a chance to be there for her son who turns 1 in August and her oldest has a birthday in Sept. It was so hard to see the girls today without getting emotional. The oldest looks so much like my cousin did at that age. And she is having a hard time but is putting on a brave face. The second oldest is 8 and I don't think is either grasping totally what is happening or is in denial. Her husband asked me today if my husband and I were planning on staying here or moving since we have been talking about moving to Central Oregon or Montana to be closer to his mom. I said We would be here as long as he needed us and he said "well that might be forever, you are like a second mom to them." I about lost it. |

Location: Montana | My cousin has gone on to meet our creator and meet up with our Grandfather and relatives who have gone before. Thank you all for the support. I cry in spurts, mainly when I see things that she is going to miss out on with her children or stuff that we used to do together. I am still having a hard time with the fact it was less than thirty days from diagnosis to being gone. I called my other cousin, we were all three as thick as thieves these last few years even though the one lives in Texas now. We could barely talk we were crying so hard. It's hard but we know she is out of pain and smiling down on us.
