I tried searching for threads about this already and coudn't really find any. There were some replies that mentioned it but no threads on it that I could find. I'm deciding on this or THE gastro plus. Thanks for your opinions. I suspect hind gut issues on one of mine. I like that you only feed it 2x a week vs daily, but I don't mind either. WHatever is best! Thanks!

it is fed twice a day. I liked it for my guy but I don't think it is something you wnat to feed forever. It will however let you know right away if that is what you are dealing with and is great to keep some around ( acute cases)especially if one has a reaction to something or gets into grain. I fed my guy equisure for 1 month. I gave him timothy hay and soaked alfalfa pellets. no minerals as this can upset the digestive track. absolutely no products with DE this caused a systemic reaction and all 4 legs swelled up and hives all over. you want to keep what is moving through his track soft so nothing that is abrasive. no whole flax seeds no rank hay. only soft hay and soaked pelleted feed.

I just finished a 32-dose bag of GastroPlus and my horse is like a new man! I suspected ulcers and that must have been it because now he is back to his strong appetite and is much happier.
My vet recommended Equi-Sure to a friend of mine as a preventative, but it's so expensive that I would only want to try it if I was hauling a whole lot or if I was just going to use it for a little while or on occassion.

it doesn't have a money back guarentee any more. not sure if equisure does or not. and yes it has studies showing it changes the ph of the hind gut to help with hind gut acidosis

The money back guarantee is only good within 45 days.
I used a product for 4 months seen no positive results didn't hear about the money back guarantee till 2 months after I was finished so 6 months total and I was told I was sol as I didn't contact them within 45 days.
