My daughter's roommate's mare was killed in a tragic accident at a show last weekend. We are all just sick about it and feeling helpless, we want to do something for her. Any ideas? I know things can be done with a lock of hair but I don't have access to that, I'd love to get her some kind of nice memorial for her girl. Suggestions appreciated.

Can you get any pictures of her and her horse together, maybe off her facebook page, and put it in a nice frame for her?

Laser etched jewelry is nice.  I've seen some gorgeous silver pendants done from a photo, or just their name.

I tell you the thing that I like better than anything of my retired horse is this large throw that I had made of a photo. You can put on the bed in your LQ or on the sofa whatever. It is made to be used. Washable. It is called Photo To Throw. Mine is a barrel racing picture but you could use any picture that is meaningful.. The picture cannot have a photographer's name on it but you can have someone scan the picture and remove that, then print the picture without the name. I bought mine from QVC and it was about $135. Google Photo To Throw. It measures about 56in by 60 in so is very usable and covers more than your big toe. Well worth the price.

I don't have any ideas but think it's very nice for y'all to do this.

My friend had a picture frame made with Niki's name on it. We just lost her this weekend. I about lost it when she sent me a picture of it.
