I have a Pozzi and I love it but, I have a small horse and I weigh 165 #s. Any suggestions on a saddle for me, I'm 63 and not as fit as I used to be but still love to run barrels. Thanks for your input.

Hi Carole and welcome to BHW.

Sounds like a treeless would be something to look into. They are light and give a secure feel.

Circle Y Tammy Fischer has the deepest seat.

Welcome! I also have a small horse and I'm not a waif so I just ordered a Double J Intimidator. It's made on the same tree as the Double J Pro Racer, different than the Pozzi tree, but the bars are a bit shorter in the back for smaller horses. If you like Double J that might work for you.

I like the Circle Y Just Be Natural saddles. Very light weight and deep seated.

If you don't want to go treeless perhaps a composite tree is in your future. Big horn leads the pack in composite and makes some very nice barrel saddles that will hold you in.

The lightest treed saddle I have found is the Lisa Lockhart, they say 23 lbs, but I think it is lighter, it does have a flex tree and comes in a regular and a wide fit.
