boon Posts: 4	If the saddle fits wonderfully in all areas of the horse without a pad on, then why is it that my 1" pad ain't working when we ride (leaving inconsistent dry spots)? Should I go ahead and try a 3/4" pad? I'm under the notion that my saddle fits my mare and I'm just needing to go with a pad less thick than 1".

Elite Veteran Posts: 1035 Location: TN	Dry spots are usually an indication that it is too tight - if the saddle truly fits then the pad is much too thick. Try a 1/2" pad.
