I teach Health Science at the high school level. My students are always in the top 3 in our state and I always have students to compete at the national level. I want to stay at that level but am a bit stumped. We have a new event this year called Medical Inovations. This event is one that will challenge the students to think out of the box. The students can take an already made device and improve it or design somthing from scratch. Once the item is designed on paper it then has to be made in a model size. So my question to you is what do you think would help improve the life of a horse person. I had thought of a lift that could be mounted on a horse triller or wheel chair that would place a person on their horse so they could mount without assistance but not sure if that would be usable. We are working with our tool and dye department so we can build almost anything needed.
Pleas give me any and all suggestion you have. I ride and am known for thinking out of the ordinary with my students this is why I wanted something for the horse industry biut would love to hear any idea you have.

An easier drop down window on a horse trailer. A better wheel barrow A fan holder for stall A better stall latch A brush/water sprayer combination for cleaning big water tanks

a fly mask that doesn't come off! I'm just kidding, kind of, I just spent the last hour trolling around my pasture locating several!
I was thinking about this earlier today, you know those kitchen drawers that have the soft/slow close? how about that for a trailer door. I don't know how many times I have to catch that really heavy steel door from slamming shut on me it's dangerous for all involved and I'd go get it installed on my trailer if it was available. (if you're unsure of what I'm talking about google "soft close drawer slides"
or rubber mats with handle cut outs or finger holes kind of like a bowling ball?
