Location: Up and over to the right | Ice, boot (properly!!), watch the leg, watch the footing and pull out of any races you think are just going to get you guys hurt. |

speaking of ground, what types are best/ worst on those types of horses? I am new to tendon issues. Like "hard ground is bad on stifles" I always thought hard ground was bad on everyone lol... |

| Deep, heavy ground is the worst on suspensories, etc.
Good leg care quantifies in my world as:
Icing- I like saltwater spas, Game Ready, Sore No More poultice, Back on Track, standing wraps, Soft Rides, etc. I've also used Runners Relief and I love Stressline products.
Legging up: Sherri Cervi has a good plan for proper legging up, also work under the supervision of a vet.
Vet work: Ultra sound regularly to check that old injury.
Good leg protection during work outs.
However, I would like to state that unless there was an extenuating circumstance, or the horse got worked hard in extremely deep ground without being fit, there shouldn't be an injury UNLESS the hoof angles are off. Get those analyzed and corrected before you move forward.
