I'm sorry to post another question about saddles, but I don't really have anyone else to ask.. LOL
What do you think about Double T barrel saddles? It looks like it's in really good shape, but I've only seen pictures because I would be having it shipped to me.. Sound like a bad idea? My biggest fear is getting the saddle and then having to try and sell it because it doesn't fit my mare once I get it.
How is the quality of these saddles? Is it going to hold up for years to come? Make my mare sore from a poor quality saddle?? Are they comfortable to ride in?

Junk-sorry. Speaking from having many saddles.....buy the best you can, even a used better built saddle will last longer than the cheap new ones. I'm not sure what you're fitting issues are but courts makes a nice saddle.....with 2 different trees. Corriente fits a wider backed horse nice and has a lot of wither space-though the fenders swing pretty freely-also call and get a price quote from corriente before buying used-people try to make money on them because they are so reasonable from the company. I've had both and also a saddlesmith blackwood racer that was pretty good, might even come in a SQHB and FQHB. Just some suggestions for saddles I would consider looking at if you're looking for a "cheaper" priced saddle.

The only appealing thing about a Double T saddle is the $ price $ ! Just remember you get what you pay for. Stay away from that brand of saddle, You will save a ton on money with the purchase but will pay out the wazoo in chiropractic visits for your horse!!

How about a Circle S Saddle??
Thanks for the input on the double t! I'm definitely looking for a used one.. I can't afford new right now. I'm having problems with her withers hitting the pommel, and it's pinching on either side of the withers as well. My saddle now is a 7" gullet, but I'm not sure about the bars.

Totally agree with buying a better used saddle than a newer less expensive one! Even if it's an older saddle they will ride and fit your horse much better than these newer junky ones that seem to be flooding the market.
