I climbed on the roof of my trailer recently to check seals. Seals were in good shape, but a round cap shattered in my hand. Underneath, it was a small PVC pipe inside whatever the cap screwed on to. Looks like some sort of vent and is over the shower/bathroom sink area. What is this so I can find another cap without taking the trailer to a camper place? Right now, I have plastic wrap and duct tape on it...Southern Engineering at its finest. LOL

It is either the shower vent or toilet vent. It is vented so that the sewer gas which is explosive can vent go through outside. Sewer gas is also extremely poisonous. Methane gas. It would be better to let water get down in it than to not let the sewer gas out.

Take a picture of it and put it on here. I do know that you can go on Camping world's web page and they have lots of pictures of parts too. Compare what it is. Google is your friend :)

Just bought two of these for a c&c. Amazon has them for $5. Just search "RV sewer vent cap". You may need to replace the whole vent though which is what I had to order it was $20.

Thanks. I'm 2 hours from a Camping World, so ordering online is way easier.
