Location: Arkansas | Hey y'all!! My guy stocks up pretty bad when stalled; used to be able to keep it down with just liniment but he's getting pretty swollen just from an overnight in the barn at home. Just ordered some sore no more clay to try; any advice on how to use it would be great! I've done standing wraps before, but I've never used clay!!! |

| I have used Ice Tight clay, and if the Sore no More is in clay form I would think the protocol would be the same. This is what I do, I slather the clay on all four legs, about 1/2" thick, then I wet a section of a brown paper bag and wrap that around the cannon bone from knee/hock to pastern, then I take some brown gauze and wrap that over the paper bag, and then wrap with polo wraps- the wet bag keeps the clay nice and cool for a long time- everything should be nice and tight beneath it in the morning! Good luck! :) |

Location: Phoenix | You might look into kidney cleanse by Silver Lining Herbs.
i read a bunch on wrapping and I guess you don't want to use Saran Wrap around the wet brown bag, you want it around the cotton quilt, if you're using Saran Wrap at all. I ended up doing the poultice, wet some shop towels and put around leg, then do standing cotton wrap, then standing bandage. Don't leave on for more than 12 hours.
but seriously--check out the kidney stuff. That really helped for mine. |

I second the kidney cleanse! :) And saran wrap is good for a sweat, while the wet paper bag is good for a cooling poultice. |

Location: Arkansas | I would love to get some magnetic therapy products, but the pocket book can't handle that right now. I'm feeding 1 scoop safe choice original, 1/2 scoop alfalfa cubes and formula 707 daily essentials. I give electrolytes when it's hot and working him hard. He's always had an issue with stocking up, but it seems worse this year. |

Location: Texas | Sweat their legs with standing wraps. I don't do poultice bc it's a pain. Get them out and move them around. Trust me I have a lot if experience. |

What product do you like to sweat with under the wraps? |

DMSO, dex and furacin.... but there is a definite place for a sweat and a definite place for a poultice... |

Yes. Without the moisture from a wet paper bag or shop towel it will dry up. Sometimes I don't mind because I want that tightening effect like after a long ride. But for a longer treatment you'll want to wrap. |

| My mare is stocking up really bad also!! She is on stall rest for a torn tendon but she is swelling up like a balloon in both her fronts. Her hind legs are fine. I'm using the Pht tendon wraps but she is still stocking up! I'm taking her out and hand walking her also. |
