What's the best place to buy and best type to try?
I have a mare turned out to try to grow a foot, she is lame but not enough foot to nail to??? Her feet have never been so bad, then she pulled a shoe and what was left of her foot. (thoughbred cross with no heals to begin with)

I've used these and I really liked them! They held up well and my horse seemed to work well with them. And the price was pretty decent

I agree. The trouble might be finding an experienced farrier to apply them. They are expensive but worth it!

If you want one you can do yourself, I think there are a few brands but even then, you might need them shaped by a farrier. Otherwise, you might look in to a hoof boot that is rated for turn out?

Easy boot may be your best bet. put on and off as needed. Perfect shoe is a good one as it supports the whole hoof top to bottom. There are videos on youtube on how it goes on. It is a rubber that works with water and becomes comes solid once applied. Youtube ...how to apply perfect hoof pro over anchors.
