If you are talking about Hunington they were not "elected". Both were appointed as commisioners to volunteer positions. At least one is a college student who was brought to America as a child.
Neither position makes law nor votes on such.
It seems both have volunteered thousand of hours to their communitites. Helping maintain the parks, etc..
Should they be shipped back to a country they were not raised in. Or given a path to citizenship as it seems they both are doing what actual citizens should be.

This is the problem. Many of the younger illegals have been here for years through no fault of their own. Many are productive members of society and have never been in trouble, etc....should they be shipped back to a country that they NEVER lived in or should there be some kind of solution? |

Over 20 million illegals living here in the US and we could put a solid 20 foot wall with high voltage wire and razor wire across the entire southern border, yet the problem with illegal residents remains. We've allowed politicians to demagogue this issue through the use of one word: "amnesty". First of all, let's get one thing through our collective heads....there's no way in hell we will ship them back. It won't happen. The Democrats will never seriously attempt to solve this problem, because they are swine who need the votes. Most of the Republicans are no better, because they just chirp about the problem, without making serious suggestions, for fear of being labeled as advocates of "amnesty". Rubio had the guts to actually take this issue seriously and attempted to come up with a sensible solution, and he was excoriated for his efforts. His suggestion never got serious consideration. What's needed is a combination of several suggestions: e-verify, legal guest worker permits, payment of a fine for being here illegally, payment of any back taxes, no voting rights, no access to ObozoCare, and getting in the back of the line if they desire legal citizenship status. These are just some of the elements that need to go into an immigration reform law. To just harp over and over again that we need to ship them back is lazy thinking, because it will never happen.
And....it should go without saying that felons, etc... Need to either be imprisoned or shipped the hell out. Kate's law should be passed. I'm sick of this whole subject. |

| Fox News reported that they were elected and had a video of irrate white people protesting. If this is not correct, someone needs to contact Fox. If in fact, they were appointed, someone elected the official that appointed them.

As far as the Mexicans that came over as children with their parents there is no way they can or should be sent back as this is their home. They probably wouldn't survive being sent back to that hell hole. I feel that problem goes back to our government not enforcing our laws to begin with. These newest illegals need to be put on a bus and sent back.

Yes, Karen, many are paid under the table but there are millions that are working in restaurants, motels, meat packing plants, production plants, etc., etc. that are paying "federal" taxes. Like I mentioned....The employers could care less because they get them cheaper and as employee tax deductions and our government could care less as long as they get the $$$$

I worked with them for several years in Idaho....They ALL declare a wife and 7 kids on the W4 so they have the least taken out that they can. At the end of the year they just don't file. They quit and move t the next farm down the road and do the same thing for another year. |

It is so easy to blame Mexico. How about blaming the people who are hiring them?? The ones who are employing illegals are doing more damage to this country than the illegals are. Look at what it has done to wages in the construction industry. How many of us have been in barns where there are several working? Does that not take jobs from citizens?
Yes, those who enter the country illegally have broken laws. Those who hire them have broken laws and thumbed their noses at fellow citizens. So who is more at fault?

Not really. In all the years I worked in the dairy industry in Idaho, I saw two white milkers.... I was one of them. The do pay quite a bit in different forms and they don't have the paperwork needed to draw any of it back out. So it's free money for the state and federal governments. That's one of the reasons a lot of states are not in a hurry to get them thrown out. |

Around here they penalize employerß for hiring illegals. It was so long ago that Billy Cook inOK was shut down because there was a raid. St8ff fines that g9 up each time they raid. |

This is pretty much what happens in our area. Or if they get 1099 or W-2 they just chunk them. And move to new job if IRS gets close. Cause as employer you can't fire them for having a "wrong" number. |

No argument here... True story... The problem here is.... So does everyone else that needs to file a claim for pretty much anything beyond comprehensive. It's all about 'averages'. I paid insurance on whatever I was driving for over 30 years and never filed a claim.... Other people did. I've had money sucked out of every paycheck I ever earned and never filed for anything. I know lots of people that work Spring through Autumn and quit to draw unemployment during the winter.... Not because there is no work, but because they don't want to work outside in the cold weather. They sit on their butts for four months and draw a lot more than they paid in.

| I don't care what age you are and have been in the USA for ages ... it is time to go back to the country you came from and still claim citizenship in so you can make a difference in saving your own country.
I see you waving another country's flag and berating the American flag constantly and belligerently demanding more and more freebies from the America that you hate ... it is time your butt was thrown back across the border with no holds barred!!
Don't forget the huge illegal population that must go also ... our state dept and other government agencies are busy with flipping them to refugee status which is a crock of doo doo .... and they are here to overthrow our government ... period!!
The easy solution is to STOP ALL IMMIGRATION AND SEAL ALL FOUR BORDERS OF THE USA ... and start deporting any and all illegals regardless of where you find them .... EMPTYING OUR PRISON'S IS THE FIRST MOVE TO BE MADE AND SAVE A TON OF MONEY ON PRISON COSTS .... and be firm on the fact that illegals have no legal standing to use any of our court systems or laws to remain her on any pretext they might have ... ANOTHER SAVINGS ON ALL THE PUBLIC DEFENDER AND COURT COSTS THAT IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW ...
and while we are at it repeal the 14th amendment to end the nonsense of being born in the USA gives you automatic citizenship... AND REPEAL THE 16TH AND 17TH AMENDMENTS ...

Don't we have a way to have those just kind of disappear?

ANOTHER SAVINGS ON ALL THE PUBLIC DEFENDER AND COURT COSTS THAT IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW ... and while we are at it repeal the 14th amendment to end the nonsense of being born in the USA gives you automatic citizenship...
