So I am thinking of going to a crop with a popper, from my over/under. I have never used anything other than an over/under.  I dont want my crop dangling and flopping around on my wrist during my run.  What do you guys use, and how/where do you attach it for ease of use?

when I was using a crop, I kept it in my mouth until I started using it. Then I think I just held it in my hand when I'd go around a barrel.

Put a rubber band around your hand and then put the whip in your hand and take the rubber band across the whip in the palm of your hand and back over your fingers.

I prefer a quirt that hangs from my wrist for most horses.  I'm likely to damage myself with an over & under, lol.  If I have one that needs one quick swat to keep them up and moving into a turn I'll use a whip like I described above.

This...but I grew up riding hunters/jumpers so it's more natural. I can't use an over/under without whipping myself. LOL

I always liked a whip without a flapper.  If that was all that I could find, I would cut the flapper down to about an inch wide then loop a thin leather strip about 6 or 8 inches long thru the flapper.  Never was good with an over and under.
