Hi. I know this topic has probably been discussed to death, but I'm looking for opinions on a particular trailer. I am currently looking at a used 1996 Sundowner w/ LQ. It is all steel and has everything I've been looking for in the LQ part (bed, refrigerator, heat and a/c, shower, storage). I haven't seen it in person, just in pictures. They say there's no rust and that's my main concern. Also, they're asking $8,000 for it. Does this seem like a fair price for this trailer especially for its age? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. At this point I will be using it mainly for camping. Thanks in advance!

I'd offer a bit less, offer $7 then work your way to what you way to pay.

Is it a 2, 3 or 4 horse? What size is the LQ? 6', 8', 10' or 12'?  Is it being offered by a person or a dealer? That information would greatly affect the price. Perhaps, check HorseTrailerWorld for comparable trailers to check the price. It seems a bit high to me for a steel trailer that is almost 20 years old.

It is a 3 horse and I believe its 6' LQ.  Its being sold by an individual.  Thanks for your responses!  Your advice is greatly appreciated. :)

I think it's priced a bit high for a steel trailer as well. I would have to see it in person and offer according to what you see.
