| Please keep the Landon Jacobsen family in your prayers. They were hit head on after leaving a high school rodeo yesterday. The mom and 7yr old boy were killed. The dad and son that rodeoed was taken to hospital in critical conditon.
This morning Bowdie is doing good hopefully moving out of Icu, some fractures in sinus cheek area. Legs are fine. Landon out of surgery and doing okay, hoping tomorrow we see improvement. He did open his eyes a few times. This was posted by a family member.
Rodeo families are so very close and we all are part of them. I know how well the prayers work from this board so please please please pray for them.

| Many prayers for this family, this breaks my heart. Reading the local articles and seeing the pictures brings tears to my eyes. I wish people would just slow down and pay attention when they drive and realize that if you pull out in front of someone especially someone towing there is no way they can stop. |

| Here is the update on the two that survived the accident. Thank you so much for all the prayers..
Bowdie is out of icu and his lungs came back good. Landon is quite swollen but the doctor says he's doing good. they had to take out a part of his brain so there was room for swelling but that this part did not affect his overall function.He is responsive to touch. when they take out the tube and lower sedation the doctor thinks he will responds to commands. |

Location: That part of Texas | 3 Turns -- I keep seeing articles about this posted on FB with some of them saying that the girl that was in the SUV (that got hit and crushed) was the cause of it and others saying that she is actually another victim of the car who pulled out in front of the truck -- that they served to miss the car pulling out and hit the girl in the SUV. Do you know which one is correct? If she's not the cause, I just hate seeing that posted.
Sending prayers to them all during this time. Can you let us know if they have a fund set up somewhere to send money to or otherwise help? Thanks! |

I believe there were only the 2 cars involved. I havent seen anything about a 3rd car.
As for an account set up, the family has asked that there not be one at this time. They are doing a fundraiser at the high school rodeo this weekend. Here is the link for the fundraiser that is being held this weekend.

| Todays update August 18th :
update: Landon's CT scan looks good this morning. He is stable. They will wait a few more days where he will seem the same but the Dr. says they are pleased with how well he is doing. His swelling has gone down quite a bit in his face. Bowdie is eating better now and is able to hold down some food. please keep praying that landons brain will heal. Thank you everyone for all your love and messages and prayers. |

| Yesterdays (Wednesday Aug 19th) Update:
landon is still the same. Doctors are still encouraged but will continue to keep him sedated for a few days. Bowdie is being released right now. (Yea)!!! He gets to go home and be around family and cousins. We are with landon and he looks good, swelling is going down everyday. |

| Update: 8/23/15 landon has been taken off the drain and is starting to do a little movement. He has recognized his sisters and says a few words about his work. The doctors are still keeping him quiet and sedated but each day is a little bit better. Thank you again for your love and prayers. Charity, lacy, alissa and kids are doing as good as they can. |

| One more update.. The Utah High School Rodeo Association did a fundraising raffle and auction last weekend for the Jacobsen Family at the rodeo in Vernal UT. An amazing 44,000 dollars was made.. Yes, that is right. I didnt accidentally put on another zero.
It never ceases to amaze me how closely bonded rodeo families are. The support for this family has been amazing..
On a sad note, one of our sophmore saddle bronc riders (he went to Nationals as a Freshman) had a horse flip over on him in the chute on Saturday. His back was broken and he was life flight to primary childrens hospital. After long hours of surgery, he is gettin some feeling in his legs, but they are certain he will never ride again and just pray that he is able to fully regain feeling and be able to walk.
So, keep your prayers coming for those of us here in UT. |

Just read (another) article on Amberley Snyder last night. . . Now I read this about another young person with the possible same type injury. Seems you UT folks are from tough stock, so my prayer will be that this young man has the same fortitude and determination as Amberley. God is still in the miracle business and doctors can say one thing but He provides a way to another. Prayers and more prayers being sent to UT |
