Does anyone else feed orchard grass hay that is super dark in color? I had to pick up a bale since I'm traveling and this bale is very dark, almost purple. Normally it's a nice light green. Horses really are not into it. Just curious thanks.

We can get some super dark orchard grass hay here. But, it has been heavily fertilized usually. My horses get dark green cow patty manure from it.
