How do you think he would cross on http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/i+aint+playin ??
I was going to send the booking fee for Howelling Corona, but decided to sit down and do more research.
I've got it narrowed down to three studs:
- A Streak of Fame
- Banner Dee Royal
- and of course... Howelling Corona
If that was my mare, I'd go with a speed bred stallion for barrel racing. There are some good ones that are reasonable, like View Me Flying (by Tres Seis).
Royal and Famous is a 1D stallion. Ran the fastest time of the OKC Derby Finals 2014.Kelly's Chick 2014 NFR qualifier and Stoli My Guy whom needs no introduction are both breeding to Royal and Famous in 2015. He placed in the 1D at Waco at the ANHA and Jud Little Barrel Bash. Roy recently was 2nd at his first pro rodeo only Andria Cline on Moses bested us by a tenth. His dam Go Royal Scarlett LTE $300,000+3 time NFR qualifier has produced the horse that won the semi-finals qualifier at Mesquite and set the new arena record at OKC Derby with a 14.8. Royal Star Commander ridden by Erin Ricotti. His full sister was on the cover of Barrel Horse News last year as well Famous Scarlett. His sire is Dash Ta Fame. He would be a clear choice for your breeding program for 2015! Top 40 at the 2014 qualifier in Glen Rose outrunning the likes of The Red Dasher and JL Dash Ta Heaven. $1250 http://youtu.be/rh6nQ9mGcD8

The stallion you first posted wouldn't interest me at all. I would go to a stallion with a better pedigree. Not saying the horse you mentioned isn't a nice horse but for future resale value I wouldn't breed to him. I would go straight race or a combination of race/working like a barrel bred horse.
