| Hope the Texas taxpayers enjoy paying for it. Especially when some if the 53 owners have been saying these rodeos will be in other states. While I love the concept, the taxpayers funding it is just wrong IMHO. |

Location: Central Texas | While as a taxpayer I would rather not pay for anything else but if I have to it might as well be rodeo related. This will be interesting. I hope it does in fact stimulate interested in rodeo. |

Location: Deep South | Dallas investing $1.7 million of tax payer money to get the finals there, for an expected $50 million (low figure) to $100 million (high figure) in economic impact from the event, $34 million in direct revenues, sounds like a good deal for the citizens of dallas to me? |

Location: In The Land of Cotton | While any sport has it's share of creeps, I would much rather tax payor money go to smell horse crap then pay for the creeps that are way over paid professional football, baseball, etc. players. |

| There was a huge discussion about the time of the American on thus and the pits falls. The biggest one being when they brought the NCHA finals in, claiming all the revenue and what a bust it was. I can't remember all the details, but that thread had a lot of great info in it about this topic. It sounds great of rge surface, but there were a lot of issues that were in the fine print if I remember right. |

| Although I think during the American, they weren't exactly up front with were the funding was coming from. At least in the above link they came out and told that part so at least they became transparent in that respect this time around. |
