First off, I am a bigger rider so I am not bashing. I am looking for some sort of official weight limit on the flex tree saddles..... I have always heard riders over 170# should not be riding in a flex or treeless. How much truth is in that? I do not have the desire to go treeless or buy a flex tree. We are having a discussion elsewhere and I'd love to hear some more input! Thanks!

I think the rider's ability and balance has just as much to do with it as weight. There is less protection for the horses back with a treeless or flex so if you are up there bouncing all around you are going to be hurting your horses back and getting in their way.

I usually hear anywhere from 180-200lbs is the limit. That would also depend partially on the rider's skill. A really balanced 190lb rider that doesn't bounce around is going to feel better than a 160lb rider that flaps around like a sack of potatoes.
