| I was told they took it off the market... can anyone confirm that? I've treated a gelding with some stuff from Weatherford that was Pyrimethamine, Vitamin E, Sulfadiazine, Levamisole, and diclazuril in it but it's been a month since the last treatment and the signs are starting to show again. I'd like to just treat with the Diclazuril. |

I"m glad you posted this....this is the EPM treatment correct? Can you share what you have been treating with?
Had a client buy a gelding that was previously diagnosed with EPM. The sellers never disclosed this fact to the lil girl that bought the horse. I want to give the lil girl treatment options. Please share! |

Yes this is for EPM.
I have treated several horses now, almost all confirmed with spinal taps. I will never use Marquis again, expensive and didn't work.
I've used the Orogin/Levamisole but I feel like that is something that I have to use every year, same opinion now with using this stuff from Weatherford Compounding Pharmacy. They work really well at first but I have to treat again.
Diclazuril, if it is still able to be used, has been the best. I have treated one with it and it's been 3 years without having to treat again. My Uncle has treated a couple of his horses on the track with it and they all have made a full recovery and haven't needed retreated....Yet!
Get the horse on a good Vitamin E supplement and you may also look into Curost products, Herbie has posted stuff about it and after looking into it, I'm going to try it myself.
That's all the treatments I have used, hopefully that helps a little!

| It's been several years ago, but I got IV Diclazuril from my vet at Oakridge Equine. Haven't needed it since, so I don't know if it's still available or not, but might check with your vet. |
