Location: Peach State | I've always have a problem getting the sling to lay flush around the ankle. There's always a gap or it pulls the middle ridge over too much if I really pull the sling cradle down and around. |

Location: Where you need a paddle... Oregon! | Yes. Every horse I use them on and I've tried different sizes, too. This is why I use my CE's typically for general riding and I use Professionals Choice all other times. I only even keep the CE's because I have several pair and I wouldn't be able to get my money out of them to sell them, but I'll not buy any more. |

| I have one pai of Pegasus boots that are a little different to put on but do not gap where the bottom strap goes around. If you have them on properly dirt will not get under them. Nice boots. |

Location: North Dakota | I bought a set of Classic Equine to try on my horse earlier this year and I did not like them. I tried 2 different sizes and I could not get the darts to line up properly and to sit on the leg properly. I won't be trying them again.
I use the Professional's Choice SMB 3. I like them, but they are getting harder to find. I don't like the Elite and I don't like the SMB 2.
I'm very picky. :-) I've been interested to try the Renegade boots but haven't yet. |

I prefer the CE boots to PC. I just feel like they fit my horses better. That said, I use both brands. |

Location: Dubach, LA | I thought it was just me. I see so many people using CE that I finally bought a couple of pair. They don't fit anything I own. You can actually hear the slings rubbing together when my good horse walks. I need to sell them and buy another pair of PC.

| I hate Classic Equine, probably the worst made of all the boots I've tried. Now you won't catch me in anything but Professional Choice. |

Location: Oklahoma | I has the same problem. I do not like to take boots off and have dirt in them. I switched to RES boots a couple years ago. No dirt in them ever, and they fit great. I now deal in them, send me a message and I'll make you a deal and I guarantee you will like them!! |

Location: Sunnyland Florida | Are you all having problems with the Classic Equine LEGACY boots? I think CE makes a few different kinds, right?
I have Professional Choice and Classic Equine Legacy. I can't ever get the heel right on the Professional Choice - and it always moves. I feel the Legacy boots fit way better, and they are a little thicker than the Professional Choice.

Location: The best kept secret in TX | I have this problem with CE... Bought them in every size to try and fix the problem... Still couldn't get them to line up correctly. I tried the PC SMB Elite's and finally found the size my boy wears, but after three runs the stitching fell apart and PC wouldn't replace them...
I finally just went back to my old trusty's.. .my Bar F splint boots from the 90s.
They're an ugly green color but I cover them with boot covers. They fit both my mare and gelding. I haven't ever found dirt in them and they're a breeze to take on and off. never had an injury in them either (knock on wood). I don't like their new style of boots but back in the 90s man... stuff was good!!! LOL |

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who loves the old Bar Fs! I have one set left and I save them for my mud boots because they don't get water logged! |

Location: Southern Indiana | The sling never does fit quite flush and it's kind of a flaw in the design however I have always liked them and found they don't fill up with hardly any dirt. They seem to fit a bigger variety of horses. I bought a pair of elites and they just seem small and flimsy. The part near the fetlock never closes completely like it should. I am currently using iconoclast and they are nice but again I get that gap next to the fetlock and they do get dirt in them. I am using them because I have previously had soft tissue injuries. I bought a pair of the CE crossfits this spring and they are the best fitting boot I've found! I use polos on the back...so much less complicated! |

Location: "...way down south in the Everglades..." | I have several pairs of the Legacy boots and I like them much better than the PC on two of the horses...the other one I can't get the CE to fit...like she's in between sizes and it gaps...not that the PC are too much better on her either. I think it really depends on the horse.
On a side note, does anyone else have problems with the CE no turn bell boots that have the designs...the plastic layer just peels off and looks like crap after a couple uses? I finally peeled it all off two of the pairs... That is my biggest complaint with CE. |

| I too tried the classic equine legacy 4 pack and couldn't get them to fit any horse I owned properly.... Sold them got a pair of iconoclast... They weren't bad but they seem to be difficult to size to your horse I measured 3 times and I still got a pair that are too small. I have all elites now... They are decent boots. Love my bar f but I only have two pairs left and they are xs and large so only a couple of my horses can fit in those trusty boots! |

Same here, no complaints with the Iconoclast boots. I actually love them and there is never dirt inside the boots after riding. |

Yep! The coating does that. I don't know why they even bothered to put it on there. I think the newer printed ones don't have it anymore. I just get back ones. They go with any color boots and you don't have to worry about getting stains out. |
