My gelding ran his first 18 on a standard yesterday afternoon, took .6 off of his morning time, took care of BOTH of us in the deepest ground he has seen, and ended up 4th in the 3D average for the day. There's obviously some mistakes (ran by 2nd), but he worked REALLY nicely for me yesterday.
This is his 12th-ish run ever, and is coming back from a broken pastern - and only getting faster.

Thank you everybody!! It's been a long row to hoe; between me having two babies in two years and his injury. I'm juuuuuuuust getting back my confidence in going fast, and he's been very forgiving of that - but he is definitely having fun with my renewed bravery.
