Has anyone used a Hilason flex tree saddle? I see they are pretty cheap. I am not looking for great quality but something around their price range to try on my horse as he is getting white hairs where my saddle is not fitting him. I am using a biofit pad right now under my saddle but evidently not working. I can't afford what I would like and just wanted some opinions on experiences with these saddle and if the flex tree will help. Thanks

I have always been told the chiro's hate sports saddles and their explanation made some sense at a chiro clinic I attended. However I have a nice mare that has had lower back soreness though she is ridden in a high quality saddle that fits her and good pads. I bought a Jackie Jatzlau sports saddle as a last resort and I love the way this saddle rides (unlike all the sports saddles I tried in the past) and this mare is coming to life in this saddle. My question though is what kind of pads are people using with their sports saddles?

Saddleright is what I used.
And no to the flex tree. Treed saddles should NOT flex. The tree gives support... support should not have give.

^^ exactly what my chiro said, treeless with a good pad or properly fitting treed saddle. the flex tree give uneven pressure and can do more damage. "to much movement in the tree is never a good thing"

Haven't tried this particular brand, but I'm not a fan of the flex tree in general. I like the concept but I've had them roll on several different horses, especially when they're acting up. Not good!!
