I think it is quite a risk for some since they will not be competing in any Champions Challenge events which many of them do now. Those pay pretty big and do a lot to ensure NFR qualifications. Sounds like this might be a good opportunity for other "athletes" to make a run for the NFR. The ERA contestants will compete at an ERA event over a big PRCA rodeo if scheduled on the same dates. I would think it would be smart not to schedule over the big PRCA rodeos. Big bucks is big bucks no matter what the association. I certainly think it will be interesting. Mayne it will be lile the PBR and take off like wildfire. I'm not sure the PBR has the same following it once did, but actually maybe it's just my lost of interest in it. Hopefully an unknown has an opportunity to make it on this ERA tour somehow and give them all a run for the money too. I will watch any rodeo on tv pretty much.

I know one the (multiple NFR qualifier) rough stock guy's wife. He will be committing to the ERA in 2016 so he can go to fewer rodeos and be home with his babies. If it doesn't work out like they're saying it will, I'd think he'll go back to PRCA full time.

I am curious to see what the scheduling will look like. I am sure that it will revolve around PRCA major rodeos so that they can attend both...BUT ...I also wonder if PRCA is going to "play nice" about this. It doesnt take anything for them to change things up a bit and make some of those big rodeos "tour rodeos" and really stick it to the ERA people who thought that they were going to be able to compete in both BUT already comitted to not competing in any PRCA tour rodeos....ALSO...I am wonding about venues...some of them take years to book in advace. Is next years schedule going to be at the big venues like San Antonio, Houston, Ft. Worth, Cheyenne, etc...? If so, someone has done a great job not leaking that info over the year or so that the ERA would have had that even scheduled.
