I don't know why " committing to Jesus" is a concept that's hard to grasp.
So many of us want the pastor to tell us the dos and donts of our Christian walk. Just tell me what to so to be a good Christian and and I'll do it. Give me a list to follow and I'll check off each box.
That wouldn't work for our other relationships, so why do we think it'll work with Jesus? Instead we need to show our dedication just like we do to our spouses , children, and friends. It means putting Jesus first, listening and loving Him. It's putting Hid desires above our own. It's also staying attentive and sacrificing our time,our energy, and our desires. It means connecting with Him in ways that are meaningful to you, through music , journaling praying or studying with other believers. Whe I feel He's called me to a task, it's diving in and working with all my heart.
The best part is that Jesus takes notice of our commitment. There may be times when our friends, spouses,and especially children don't appreciate our effort, np but our dedication to Jesus will never go unnoticed.
2 Chornicles 16:9 for the eyes of The Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.
Share your commitment to Jesus with someone this week, not with your words, but with your actions
Pay it forward, buy someone's lunch, grocers, gas, tell them Have a Blessed Day.
For it is with a God all things are possible
Have a BLESSED God filled day.
