Location: Southwest Louisiana | I'm doing this for an article and need to know how many people out there use a regular veterinarian (you haul to their clinic)and how many only use a mobile veterinarian. I'm not talking about having your regular vet come out on occasion and do something in an emergency. Thanks! |

Location: 31 lengths farms | I use three vets also, one for everyday and emergency stuff. He actually lives about 1/2 mile from me so that makes it convenient. Then the vet I use for more involved issues and then UC Davis for x-rays or surgery since they are a teaching hospital. It is the only way I could afford to do say CC's bladder surgery. We do have a vet that is semi local that is a mobile vet, thankfully have not HAD to use them...knock on wood. |

Location: Tulsa, Ok | I have a vet in my immediate area that has a small clinic and also mobile service. I use this vet for emergencies and routine maitenance care. He specializes in dentistry so he also does my tooth work. For more involved situations (injecting, surgery etc) I use a large equine clinic that is about an hour away. |

| Our vet does both.... sometimes we haul, sometimes we just have a farm call when all the animals need stuff (like spring shots is usually a farm call). |

Location: Buffalo, Wyoming | Used a mobile vet when he was still in the area. Loved having him around.
We now have 3 vets that we use. The cow/small animal vet in town. We take our dogs and have coggins done there. Next is a track vet that is about 45 minutes away. We use her for teeth and not so serious issues and the 3rd is 6 hours from us. We take stuff there when we know we have something bigger going on and he will find out what it is. Heading to him next Friday. |

Location: Kansas | I normally haul to the clinic unless it's an absolute emergency. Then I use the mobile vet in our area, he's dirt cheap on farm call prices and he's a pretty good guy. |

Location: Louisiana | We have a mobile vet we use for emergencies and he also does chiro and acupuncture. Although he is very close to retirement. He actually just bought a beac house so I expect he won't be around much longer lol. Then we have a local cow/dog vet that I can run to his clinic when I need lasix, smzs, previcox, whatever. He could also treat a colic or stitch one up if needed. I haul for any injections/X-rays, etc. Normally I go to Dr. Appleton in Vinton, which is about 3.5 hours. But right now I'm saving some money and taking him to Elgin in the next month or so. I need a new set of eyes and have several friends who have had great results using Dr. Tanner. |

 Can You Hear Me Now?
Location: When you hit the middle of nowhere .. Keep driving | We only have 1 large animal vet within a 4 hour radius and he only comes out to you. He doesn't have any facilities... if you need surgery your travelling a long way for anything overly invasive (about 8 hours). The vet 4 hours away has better machines and can do some surgeries as well; if you have lameness issues I will haul that far if I think mine can't figure it out or I need clearer x-rays, etc. |

Dashnlotti - Dr Appleton is awesome! and so is Dr Findley (I went to school with a few of his kids, some who are now vets). Haven't seen much those two can't take care of. |

Like your name implies. That would be lucky!
I live an hour from ANY vet and one never answers the phone after 4pm. The others are great, but prefer me to haul to them since they have the facilities. So far my emergencies have required it anyways. |

Yes they are awesome! They've both seen my boy, and have really helped him out. But he's still a little "off" after my last visit so I just want a fresh set of eyes. :)
I will definitely go back to them in the future though!! |

| I haul to my vet. I had a mobile come out and was not impressed that he used my arena to watch my horse move. I like that at my vets they have a hard round pen and a concrete area to flex and watch them move. I live an area where I am within an hour and a half of several great clinics. |

Location: Armuchee, GA, NW section of Ga | For my horses, I have a vet who is strictly mobile. They work out of their truck, mobile office. He lives just down the road from me. For my inside critters, cat & parrot, they have a vet who has an office.
