This is a random qualifier question.. I noticed from last weekend a qualifier paid only $1800 for first place and fees were $500. It worked out to about a 25% payout. Does the American get the rest of the money??

Yes two people can qualify on the same horse. They cannot ride the same horse at the semi's. After you have qualified you can choose whatever horse you want to ride doesn't have to be a horse you rode at a qualifier.

Of the $500 entry fee, 25% is paid at that event, 25% will be carried over to the Semi-Finals, and 50% will be carried over to THE AMERICAN.

The rider qualifies it doesn't matter about the horse. Someone can run a horse and qualify but not make it any farther and then someone else can run their horse in the rodeo. Its a rider qualification not a horse and rider team.

Well it kind of is since you can qualify for the semis on more than one horse.
